Tech to Help You Sleep Better? You Bet!

Wait.  What?!?

We are told that tech is a sleep disrupter and that we should power down our devices at least an hour before bed. We’re warned about the perils of blue light that come from backlit screens disrupting our natural production of melatonin causing so many of us toss and turn all night. We’re cautioned that TV, computer screens and our phones overstimulate our minds, making it hard to fall and stay asleep.

So, how is it that tech can actually help us sleep?

Sleep expert Mira Rakicevic writes: “While technology is one of the main culprits for inadequate sleep, it also can be a solution to your wakeful nights. However, which sleep gadgets or products will be most suitable for you depends on your problem. Let’s look at the ten most common sleep issues, their causes, and possible solutions.”

Her article below takes us through the tech that disturbs our sleep and teaches us about the tech that helps promote our sleep. She also delves into technology to help with sleep disorders such as:

  • Insomnia
  • Snoring
  • Sleep Apnea
