Laboratory Ergonomics

PBErgonomic Evaluations and Training
Are you “fit” to work? At PBE, we understand that the most overlooked piece of equipment in the ergonomic equation is the employee. If we examine only the workstation and ignore work habits, including keying, mousing, writing, phoning etc., it is likely that employees will continue to perform work in an awkward manner, thus exposing themselves to injury.
PBE will customize evaluations and reports to include:
- A detailed assessment and correlation of an employee’s work habits as they relate to the computer and desktop activities.
- A comprehensive examination of RSI risk factors which will both “showcase” and correct potentially injurious movements
- A PBErgonomic Evaluation, which includes: Ergonomic Guidelines, Workstation Checklist and a written review of findings and recommendations.

“Typing Without Pain”: Individual Keyboard Training
by doctor prescription or via company sponsorship
If employees have injured themselves as a direct result of improper keyboard, mouse and desktop use, the Prodigy to Maestro Computing program provides a “pain-free” solution to the antiquated typing and mousing techniques, which are likely at the heart of their RSI.
The main goal of the program is to alleviate symptoms, while simultaneously increasing a patient’s productivity at the computer workstation. PBE’s expert staff will teach employees how to replace isolated, uncoordinated and injurious typing moves with more rhythmic, coordinated and pain-free typing motions.
By mastering PBE’s hallmark typing techniques, namely: Single-Drops, Drum Rolls, Choreography and more, employees will be in a better position to correlate incorrect typing movements with injuries, and subsequently, employ their new found skills to correct them.
Location: Great news! All training takes place right at the employee’s workstation!
Audience: 1
Running Time: Training comprises 4-6 one-hour sessions over a period of approximately 4 to 8 weeks.
